It’s been a hot minute since my last post; as the saying goes, “life got in the way.” Since returning from Paris I’ve still been traveling, including quick trips to Washington DC, Denver, Las Vegas, and most recently New York City. But the biggest update that I have is that I turned 25 last week! Yes, that’s right, my birthday was last Tuesday, and I begrudgingly crossed over into my mid-twenties #quarterlifecrisis.
I have to admit, the days leading up to my birthday I was feeling a bit panicked. See, I’d had all these ideas about what my life would be like when I was 25, and they looked nothing like what my life is actually like now. I spent nights worrying that I’d somehow gotten completely off-track, and stressed myself out about my career, my love life, and everything in between.
And then I said fuck that noise.
I may not be exactly where I thought I would be, but if I’ve learned anything in my 25 years, it’s that there’s nothing wrong with a change of plans. You never really know what’s going to happen next, and that’s the beauty of life! As long as I’m happy, healthy, and working to pursue my goals and dreams, then I am on the right track.
So it turns out turning 25 isn’t as scary as I thought it would be! Instead of panicking, I’m now just excited for all of the adventures that this year will bring, and ready to embrace whatever twist and turns life throws at me. Look out world, this twenty-five year old is coming for you!
